Who Are We?

MBA is a group of local business professionals who gather on a regular basis to exchange referrals, provide support and friendship, and to promote each other's products and services within the business and professional community.

Our Mission

To foster relationships between business leaders who are accessible, enthusiastic, committed and engaged in order to better understand members' businesses and to expand the network of each individual so that each referral is treated with the highest professional standards.

Attendance

While MBA respects member's business time and does not want to set a strict attendance policy, it is crucial that every effort be made to attend as many meetings as possible since the purpose of the group is to grow relationships. If you miss more than three meetings in a row, a board member will contact you to discuss your intentions with the group.  If at that time there is no intent to continue attending, the board will consider this a resignation.  If there is an emergency or industry-specific reason for the absence, the board will decide on the appropriate action based on the circumstances.

Meeting Agenda

Each meeting is conducted as outlined below:


  • Meetings run from 8:15 – 9:30 AM every other Tuesday at Hyatt Place in Malta
    • Breakfast is available and included in your membership
  • The first 15 minutes is reserved for arrival and networking of members and guests
  • 8:30 AM meeting begins with introduction of Board members
  • Business cards from members are exchanged by drawing from the "fish bowl" and one-on-one meetings are scheduled
  • Quarter sheets are distributed and filled out to track business and referrals within the group
  • "60 second commercials" are done by both members and guests
  • Educational Moment is presented to group by the day's speaker to educate, inspire and motivate members
  • Success stories are shared by members who have referred/received referrals
  • One speaker has 20 minutes to present themselves and their business
  • Upcoming member and community events are shared and meeting is adjourned
